Cyber Police Station (East) is the busiest of Gurugram's three zonal cyber stations — it covers DLF, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and much of the corporate belt, and it's also where the district's cyber call centre for bank follow-up operates from. If your bank has confirmed the freeze on your account originates here, this is what the release process — commonly called getting the "NOC" — actually involves.

What people mean by "NOC" here

Strictly, there's no form titled "NOC" in this process. What's needed is a written communication from the investigating officer to the bank's nodal cyber cell confirming the account, or a specified amount in it, is no longer required to be held under Section 106 BNSS. Once the bank receives that, the lien comes off. It's called an NOC informally because that's exactly what it does — the police stating they have no objection to release. The mechanics of the freeze itself are covered in our guide on getting a frozen account released in Gurgaon.

Cyber Police Station (East) — where it sits and when it's relevant

Cyber Police Station (East) is at The Icon, 22 Horizon Drive, opposite Two Horizon Center, Harizan Colony, DLF Phase 5, Sector 43, Gurugram, Haryana 122002. It's one of three zonal stations under the Gurugram Police Commissionerate — see the full list in cyber police stations in Gurugram. Because this zone covers a large share of the city's corporate offices and higher-value transactions, East sees a disproportionate share of freezes linked to peer-to-peer crypto trades, business payments and freelance/consulting receipts.

The actual steps to get the release letter

  1. Get the freeze reference from the bank in writing — lien date, reference number, the unit that sent it, and the disputed amount. Nothing else can proceed without this.
  2. Confirm the investigating officer at Cyber PS (East) handling the specific complaint, since the reference number alone doesn't tell you who to write to.
  3. Build the document trail for the disputed credit — invoice, trade record, KYC, GST or ITR if it's a business account, and a statement showing the transaction in the context of your normal account activity.
  4. Submit a written representation to the officer, not a verbal request at the counter, so there is a record with a response deadline.
  5. Get the release communication and deliver it to the bank's nodal officer directly — the branch alone often cannot act without the head-office cyber desk receiving it.

What holds this up in practice

Because East handles a high volume of complaints, response time depends heavily on how complete the file is when it's submitted. Cases involving crypto sale proceeds move faster with a verifiable exchange trade record; cases without one take considerably longer because the officer has to establish the source of funds independently. Where a written representation doesn't move within a reasonable period, the next step is an application to the Magistrate, not repeated visits to the station.

Documents to carry or attach

  • Bank's written confirmation of the lien, reference number and amount
  • ID proof and account KYC
  • Invoice, exchange trade record, or business documents for the disputed credit
  • A full account statement for the relevant period
  • A written representation addressed to the named investigating officer

Frequently asked questions

I sold crypto and the buyer's money turned out to be stolen — is that a problem at this station?

Selling a lawful asset for consideration isn't an offence on its own. What matters is whether you knew or had reason to know the funds were tainted, and a verifiable trade record on a registered exchange is the strongest answer to that question.

Will Cyber PS (East) release just the disputed transaction amount?

Where the bank has frozen the full balance against a small disputed sum, asking for a proportionate release is a reasonable first objective and often moves faster than the full release.

Can I deal with this without travelling to Gurugram myself?

Usually yes. Representations and documents can be submitted without personal appearance at every stage; you'd be told in advance if appearance is genuinely required.

Why choose us for account unfreeze in Gurgaon

Frozen-account matters from all three Gurugram cyber stations — East, West and South — plus Manesar, come through this chamber regularly. That repetition is what makes the difference: knowing which desk at the bank actually acts on a release letter, which officer needs a nudge versus an application to the Magistrate, and how to frame proportionality when the freeze is disproportionate to the dispute. Fees are quoted in writing before drafting starts, and the first review of your bank's freeze letter costs nothing.
